What type of braces are right for you?
At Burns Family Dentistry, we value your smile. That’s why we use a range of different helpful methods to give you the perfect smile. Our team specializes in clear aligners such as Invisalign and SureSmile, making your orthodontic process easy, quick, and effective. If you’re in need of a more traditional method of braces such as wire, ceramic, or lingual braces, we can refer you to an excellent orthodontist. Often times, people will wear braces for a year and more. Selecting what kind of braces you want can be a big decision. We’ll help you make the best decision, and take into account the position of your teeth, the time, cost, and overall appearance you’re looking to achieve.
SureSmile provides a set of clear aligners that work to straighten and anatomically correct tooth movement – even for complicated cases. The SureSmile process is simple and easy to start. We’ll take impressions of your teeth and great a fully customized plan to analyze your bite. Advanced technology is then used to create your custom aligns, delivering the exact tooth movement needed to give you the smile you deserve. SureSmile is perfectly discrete and requires little to no lifestyle changes during the treatment process. If you’re looking for a comfortable to wear option, that blends into your teeth, SureSmile might be the right treatment for you! Contact us today to learn more.
The Invisalign treatment consists of a series of clear, snap-on, custom fit, removable mouth trays that apply force to your teeth making them shift. The system provides the same beautiful results as traditional braces, but since the trays are made of clear plastic, they are virtually invisible. Because Invisalign trays are removable, they can be taken out while eating, drinking, brushing and flossing. This is a great system for teens and adults, especially if you had braces as a child, but have had relapse crowding or spacing later in life. Dr. Preston was one of the first dentists to use Invisalign and has been seeing its amazing results for years now. Contact us today so you can see them too!
How It Works:
Escape the gooey impression trays that make us gag. With our fully digital process, we can create a fully virtual model of your teeth to fully evaluate your treatment and see expected results. These digital impressions are then transformed into the Invisalign molds that are used to straighten your teeth. Expect this process to take about 3 to 4 weeks.
The Invisalign System works after creating a series of trays that will move your teeth gradually until the end result is achieved. At the end of each two-week period, you will switch trays. Throughout the process, we’ll schedule a visit every six weeks to ensure treatment is progressing as planned. Once your treatment is complete, you will likely wear a clear retainer to ensure your new smile stays in place. As with all orthodontic appliances, the cost of Invisalign varies according to the complexity of the case. However, Invisalign is generally similar in cost to traditional braces and simple cases can be considerably less. Insurance policies generally cover Invisalign to the same extent that they cover traditional braces.
